I'm Sarah Simon-Blum and I'm comic artist and illustrator with a love of the weird, whimsical and supernatural. Ever since I was little, I've been inspired by comic books, trading card games, cartoons and video games. Making art has always been that thing I was just meant to do. Currently I'm aiming for all my art to feel a bit like Halloween - dark and spooky but also fun and sweet.
I live near Denver, Colorado and I graduated with honors from the University of Colorado, Denver with a BFA in Illustration. Nowadays I’m mostly working on my webcomics Sanguine: Monster Magical Girl and Knip, live streaming art on Twitch, and exploring all the fun things I can do with my art. I first made Sanguine: Monster Magical Girl for a Contest on Webtoons in 2018, and has been rebooted in 2021. It follows the young Vampire Minerva, who has become lost in the monotony of her daily boring life, until she has a chance to become something rare and special in the Monster World - a Witch!
I update it on Webtoons and my Instagram, posted around the weekends. Knip is my simple slice-of-life style comic about an alien pretending to be a human. It started life as part of my Illustration Thesis early 2017 and has moved to its new home on Webtoon in October, 2017. Entries range from funny to relatable, focusing on things like how ridiculous humans are and Knip's personal social struggles.
